Narrative

Merrimack Valley Emergency Associates, Inc., (MVEA) was founded in 1979 to provide Emergency Physician coverage for Lowell General Hospital.  Since this time, we have grown from a single original founder who staffed the Lowell General Hospital Emergency Department with several part-time physicians to a group of over seventy Emergency and Urgent Care Physicians, Physician Assistants, and Nurse Practitioners staffing multiple locations.  MVEA currently provides staffing for the Lowell General Hospital Main Campus, Lowell General Hospital Saints Campus as well as the Circle Health Urgent Care centers in the towns of Billerica, Dracut, Tewksbury and Westford.
