Adult Literacy Initiative- Boston
The Boston Adult Literacy Initiative (ALI) consists of Boston adult education providers that receive funding from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and/or the City of Boston to provide adult education services. ALI member organizations work closely with other adult educators and community-based organizations through neighborhood coalitions to provide a comprehensive system of adult education services for the city of Boston.

English At Large provides free English (ESOL/ESL) and basic literacy instruction to adults throughout 20 Boston-area communities. Training Resources of America provides ESL and Basic Education classes at it’s 8 locations across Massachusetts. These include Brockton, Fitchburg, Holyoke, New Bedford, Quincy, Salem, Springfield and Worcester. Class schedules vary by location.
