Fibromyalgia and Related Chronic Pain
Fibromyalgia Syndrome (FMS) is a chronic musculoskeletal condition characterized by the constant presence of widespread pain throughout much of the body, fatigue and stiffness. It can be incapacitating, but it is not degenerative. Many persons with fibromyalgia do not sleep well. The condition is very similar to Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) and mainly affects women ages 25 to 50 years of age.
