Narrative

Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center's (HMFP) Department of Emergency Medicine's mission is to serve our patients with clinical excellence, and to expand the fund of knowledge of our specialty through research, teaching and education. We seek to advance the quality of emergency healthcare through outreach, collaboration and innovation. Our mission is driven by our commitment to personalized, excellent care for our diverse patient populations throughout Massachusetts and Rhode Island; the partnership between academic and community providers; our role as a major Harvard teaching hospital and residency program; and our recruitment of the best physicians, scientists and allied health providers to support these activities.
