Narrative

Private non-profit agency. Contracts with the State of Massachusetts to be the Aging Service Access Point (ASAP) and an Area Agency on Aging (AAA) for the towns of Belmont, Brookline, Needham, Newton, Waltham, Watertown, Wellesley, Weston.

Provides coordinated home-care & community services to seniors, individuals with disabilities, their families and caregivers.  Offers free, private pay and state-subsidized services. Has contract with the Executive Office of Elder Affairs. Has home care program, caregiver support program, Alzheimer's education, home delivered meals, protective services, money management, senior medical escorts, shopping assistants and housing program. The State-subsidized homecare services are available for those 60 years of age and over who meet eligibility requirements (both financial and ability-based).  Also has some MassHealth-funded programs including PCA, AFC and GAFC.
