Narrative

Computer Classes: A variety of workshops and computer instruction ranging from Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint,  Publisher and Technology goes home is offered to the community throughout the year. Membership is required. Class fees  vary depending on class instruction and length of course. 

JMCC Adult Basic Education provides ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) and GED community based, multicultural, learner centered education, counseling and support services to adults in the Allston/Brighton area. Our program provides basic literacy and English instruction, GED prep, computer instruction, citizenship classes, as well as career and vocational preparation. Classes are taught Monday-Thursday from 6:00PM-9:00PM. The program runs from September through June. Distant Learning ESOL Classes and citizenship classes are also available. If you have any questions concerning enrollment or our ESOL or GED courses, please contact our Adult Education Director.

The Jackson Mann Community Center offers high quality and affordable after school programming for children of all abilities, ages 5.5 (K2 grade level) to 12 years old. Children with a higher level of need are welcomed until the age of 16 years old. Our after school hours are from 1:30PM - 6:00PM. We are an EEC licensed program and operate all 52 weeks of the year.
