Narrative
Community Based Day Supports emphasize community integration, development of life skills, social and recreational activities, as well as opportunities for paid and volunteer work. Group and individual trainings focus on self confidence and self reliance, with the goal of assisting participants in becoming contributing and valued members of their communities.
Examples of program activities include, but are not limited to:
- Delivering Meals on Wheels
- Volunteering at local food banks and soup kitchens
- Participation in local YMCA exercise programs
- Visiting museums
- Attending sporting events
- Attending plays at local theaters
