Delivery of emergency medical services & provides information, education and technical support to public and medical providers about emergency medical services available in their community. 

Cape and Islands Emergency Medical Services System, CIEMSS, serves as the liaison organization between the EMS providers in the Cape Cod area and the area hospital Medical Directors and the Massachusetts Department of Health – Office of Emergency Medical Services.
