Narrative

The Intensive Flexible Family Support (IFFS) Program is a service funded by the Department of Developmental Services.

Its primary goal is to help maintain the integrity of families having one or more members with a disability who are experiencing severe stress, which is causing the child to be at risk for out of home placement.

Support for the family may include help navigating the Special Education System, coordination of services that may include medical services, therapies, behavior, training, educational services, etc., facilitating services that may include access to housing, transportation and other community resources as well as education and training for parents and caregivers in how to better cope with issues.
