Narrative
Promoting opportunities for individuals to live in their communities as neighbors, friends, and valued fellow citizens is the Mission of AEI’s Residential Program. Individually designed services promote the development of skills that allow one to live as independently as possible.
Staff supports are scheduled according to each person’s needs, ranging from twenty-four hours a day to a few hours each week. Each resident is supported in pursuing their choice of social and recreational activities, religious preferences, and personal relationships. Medical monitoring and developmental skills training in activities of daily living, funds management and budgeting, and planning and preparing nutritious meals is provided by caring staff and AEI’s Health Care Coordinator.
